Rich and
earthy, the nose opens with dark fruit, cassis, leather, and a hint
of coffee. Flavors mirror aromas in this full-bodied wine with a
hint of cherry and tobacco. Black fruits dominate the palate,
complimented by barrel spice and clove. The supple. velvety tannins
linger on the palate, inviting another sip. Drink
2012-2018.
Holds up
well to strong flavors, such as pepper crusted steak and blue
cheese. Also beautiful with dark chocolate cake.
