The rich
nose opens onto mocha and espresso powder, complimented by aromas
of cherry, black fruit and oak. Lighter notes of strawberry rhubarb
and spring forest bring a layered complexity. The sip opens with a
lush, mouth-filling texture featuring flavors of cocoa and violets.
This well focused and well balanced wine highlights bright,
lingering tannins, fresh and juicy acid and a luscious, chewy
quality, finishing with just a hint of smoke. This wine will
continue to evolve.
Excellent with red meat dishes such as classic lamb with blackberry
compote. Amazing with dark chocolate desserts such as a flourless
chocolate cake.
